About the Contributor
Dr. Phillip de Blanc is an Environmental Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the environmental field, including site investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design and remedial construction supervision. He received a Ph.D. in Civil (Environmental) Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Environmental Health Engineering, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. Dr. De Blanc's field of expertise is subsurface contaminant transport, and he has extensive experience in simulation of NAPL and dissolved constituents in permeable media, numerical modeling of groundwater plumes, and calculation of NAPL volumes and transport. He also has expertise in environmental database development, regulatory compliance, cleanup level determinations, permitting, and other environmental engineering issues.
