Paul C. Johnson is the 17th President of, and a Professor at, Colorado School of Mines. Prior to joining Colorado School of Mines, he was Dean and a Professor in Arizona State University’s Fulton Schools of Engineering and a senior research engineer at Shell Development Company. A chemical engineer with degrees from the University of California-Davis and Princeton University, Dr. Johnson’s professional activities have focused on measuring and modeling the fate and transport of chemicals in the environment with application to the design, validation, and optimization of remediation systems and the assessment of risks posed by chemicals released to the environment.
